On June 6th, 2016, WNBC-4 reported about the no-knock ordinances that have been passed in municipalities where members of the Orthodox Jewish community relocate in large numbers.
The report says that "Laurie Santulli County Legislator wants to expand no-knock into all of Rockland [County, NY] and she is about to introduce a bill." The lawmaker then says on camera that "there is a population growth among the Ultra-Orthodox and I understand they need more room, but in the same sense people want to stay and live in their own homes and not feel pressure on a given Sunday to sell their homes by people constantly knocking on their door."
Passing a law aimed at one ethnic group is unconstitutional and bigoted.
