While Ed Day, the Executive of Rockland County, is chasing Yeshivas for not filing correctly safety papers with the state of New York, he sends dozens of people to work in a very dangerous government building across his own office. Regardless how the county got here, sending people into this death trap for two and a half years while going nuts against Yeshivas in much better shape, shows that politics is at play. One also has to wonder why Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski - animated about safety papers at Ramapo Yeshivas - has not brought the state into his own district where this building is and where a woman died in a fire in an illegally-converted house last October. See videos below.
Last year October, a Woman died in a fire in an illegally converted house in Clarkstown; the district represented by Mr. Zebrowski. It is the same building in which the dangerous government buildings are located. As our video below shows, he did not use that sad tragedy as an example for - what he says is - a problem in all of Rockland. Instead, Mr. Zebrowski stood in front of a Yeshiva who in the past had a paperwork issue and said the Yeshiva is the example of what is wrong in Rockland.
