The New York State Department of Education, with oversight on $225 billion in education funds and a Public School system infamous for student truancy and low proficiency rates, adapted rules forcing Yeshivas to emulate the Public School system. The $225 billion is the combined NY State and NYC education budgets in the four years that NYC Yeshivas received $1 billion in tax funds, according to a 9/11/22 bigoted dossier in the New York Times by Eliza Shapiro and Brian M. Rosenthal.
